IBM FRANCE FIRMS UP VALUE-ADDED NETWORK PLANS

By CBR Staff Writer

The value-added network services consortium that has formed around IBM France yesterday added a fourth member – the big Credit Agricole consortium of rural banks – and announced a firm programme for getting the venture off the ground. The three founder partners – Paribas and the Sema Metra consultancy and systems house are the other two – embarked on a feasibility study in February, and now plan to form a joint company in which each will be a minority shareholder, with formal incorporation planned for October.
