IBM FRANCE 1987 NET PROFITS DOWN 9.3%, ON TURNOVER UP 2.4%

Quick off the mark, IBM France has reported a pretty dismal 1987, with net profits down 9.3% at the equivalent of $404m on turnover up 2.4% at $6,752m; net margins declined to 6% from 6.7% and business was particularly bad in the domestic market, where turnover fell 0.4% to $3,319m; exports – IBM France makes 3090s were up 5.3% to $3,433m.
