It has formed a new IBM Systems Services organisation, reporting to its National Service Division, to focus on managing various aspects of customers’ data processing operations, aiming to meet requests for assistance in reducing the cost of data processing operations and increasing productivity. The company says that a substantial number have also asked IBM to implement custom systems so they can devote more time to their core businesses.
