The venture, known as Southwest One, includes the Somerset County Council and the Taunton Deane Borough Council. Staff from both councils and IBM will deliver IT services, finance and accounting functions, HR functions, procurement, property services, and print and postal services to Somerset and Taunton Deane. Southwest One will also handle traded services for schools in Somerset and revenue, benefits, and corporate administration for Taunton Deane.
IBM said it should book half of the contract value in the third quarter of 2007.
