The original seven-year deal was signed in 2002, under which IBM is consolidating Pearson’s infrastructure to support its SAP system for applications such as billing, inventory, payroll, and human resources. The contract, which covers the UK-based publisher’s US operations, also includes disaster recovery services.
The new deal extends IBM’s management of Pearson’s business systems and disaster recovery services through 2014.
