And, it being Tuesday, IBM did have an announcement yesterday, albeit a very little one, so as not to get in the way of DEC’s monster announcements that are splurged all over today’s pages one and three: IBM is extending and modifying its US new PS/2s for old PCs trade-in plan, the extension being through to the end of the year (perhaps it has promised a minumum number of boxes to the refurbishers and didn’t look like meeting it on the original time-scale) and is also now insisting that your traded in XT or whatever must have an eligible system unit and appropriate adaptor card.
