IBM DOES UNIXWARE ON PC SERVERS

By CBR Staff Writer

Looks as if IBM Corp’s PC Server group will finally declare support for Santa Cruz Operation Inc’s UnixWare operating system and become a card-carrying member of SCO’s Big E UnixWare supporters club next Tuesday. Our sister publication reported the deal had gone down back in March: it was originally supposed to have been made public around the same time, at the final UniForum trade show in March. IBM already sells SCO OpenServer Unix on its Intel-based PC servers.
