IBM DEUSTCHLAND TO ANNOUNCE NEW MODELS OF THE PS/2 LINE

By CBR Staff Writer

IBM seems to be breaking every rule in its own book these days, and if Newsbytes Europe is to be believed, another one has just been atomised: the newswire says that IBM Deutschland revealed that at press conferences called for May 5 in New York and Parism it will announce new models in the PS/2 line and other new products; the wire reckons that there will be a PS/2 Model 70 suggested to be an 80386 laptop, which sounds a bit unlikely; a new PS/2 Model 40, presumably the 80286 machine that lays the Model 30 to rest; and a fast 40Mb hard disk for the pedestrian Model 50; the diskless version of the Model 50, which is already available in limited quantities, is also expected to be announced formally as a product.
