IBM Corp is hiring again, at least in the British Isles. It is adding 1,000 jobs in customer services, 750 of them within three years at a new service center for personal computers in Dublin, 250 more at its existing 250-strong customer service center at its Greenock, Scotland base. IBM said in Dublin that the offices will be open round the clock, with multilingual staff answering enquiries from all over Europe. It would not give its initial investment but said the cost of running the two centers would be about $30m a year over the next three years.
