IBM CLAINS TO HAVE SOLD 2M PS/2 SINCE THE LAUNCH

Competitors are, not surprisingly, scathing about IBM’s claims to have shipped more than 2m PS/2s since their launch in April 1987, believing that while 2m may have left the IBM factories, a substantial proportion of those 2m have yet to reach the customer: Ed Jugi of Tandon Corp commented to the New York Times that he reckons IBM has a greater market share of warehouse floorspace than anyone else.
