IBM CANCELS JAPANESE MEMORY CHIPS ORDERS

Aggressive buying around mid-year of Japanese memory chips by IBM was blamed for exacerbating the shortage, so it is welcome news that some Japanese suppliers are saying that IBM has since cancelled some of its orders as its own production comes closer to meeting its needs.
