IBM BUYS SAA SOFTWARE FROM TRANSFORM LOGIC

By CBR Staff Writer

Rushing to get together all the elements it needs for its ambitious Systems Applications Architecture, IBM is buying software technology from all over the place and its latest deal is with Scottsdale, Arizona-based Transform Logic Corp, which will supply technology to be incorporated into the next release of Cross System Product, a basic building block of SAA. Cross System Product is designed to help users develop applications in one environment for use in another. Transform will license expert system and application development technologies to IBM, which promises that future CSP releases will retain compatibility.
