IBM BUYS 40% OF ACT’S INTERACT JOINT VENTURE

The new mystery partner who took LSI Logic Corp’s seat in Advanced Computer Techniques Corp’s InterACT Corp joint venture on embedded military systems software (CI No 1,052) turns out to be none other than IBM, which has bought 40% of the venture; a subsidiary of Prudential Bache Securities has another 11% and ACT retains a 49% holding.
