IBM is recommending the Above Disc expanded memory emulator and manager from Teleware West Inc to its 3,000 authorised dealers and resellers and is bundling the program with every AT-type extended memory board it ships: Above Disc simulates the Lotus Intel-Microsoft Expanded Memory Specification, enabling users to access memory above the previous MS-DOS barrier of 640Kb, transforming all memory on both motherboard and extended memory boards and the hard disk into usable CPU main memory, up to 32Mb.
