IBM BACKS SOFTWARE JOBS EFFORT IN NORTHERN IRELAND

IBM is supplying hardware and software for a UKP5m project at Queen’s University, Belfast to create jobs in Ulster’s software industry. The hardware and software from IBM will be made available to software houses in the province, and the Industrial Development Board hopes to use availability of the computer power to encourage creation of new firms.
