IBM ANNOUNCES SOFTWARE MALL

The IBM Information Network has announced Software Mall, an on-line facility that supports electronic outlets called stores, operated by software vendors or store owners: Software Mall will be available through IBMLink, IBM Corp’s electronic customer support service; it enables store owners to provide electronic support services for programs that are compatible with an IBM operating system and subscribers will be able to browse a mall directory to locate stores and programs that interest them; a number of companies are supporting IBM and they include Candle Corp, Computer Associates International Inc, Compuware Inc plus a sheaf of AD/Cycle partners; it is available from November 15 in the US only.
