IBM ANNOUNCES PERSONAL SOFTWARE PRODUCTS CHIEF

IBM Corp named J Michael Lawrie as head of its Personal Software Products unit to replace John W Thompson, who was promoted last month. Lawrie has been with IBM for 19 years and most recently was general manager, industries, at IBM Asia Pacific. He now has to perform the last rites over OS/2 Warp.
