IBM ANNOUNCES 16MBIT-PER-SECOND VERSION OF THE TOKEN-RING

STOP PRESS: as we were closing last night, IBM finally announced the 16Mbit-per-second version of the Token Ring, together with a fibre optic converter, and local and wide area gateways that can link terminals at the enhanced speed over wide as well as local area networks.
