IBM AND SIEBEL TEAM UP TO IMPROVE CUSTOMER CARE

IBM Corp yesterday announced a partnership with Siebel Systems Inc that the two say will enable users to quickly and easily deploy solutions for managing their customer care environments. Under the deal, Siebel has integrated its Enterprise Relationship Management (ERM) software with IBM’s DB2 Universal Database. The two also said they plan to jointly co-ordinate field sales and support activities, develop benchmarking standards to ease the deployment of the software integration and certify and optimize Siebel applications for IBM RS/6000 and additional DB2 database platforms.
