And IBM unveiled the Programmable Network Access Program rsions 1.0 and 1.1. Designed for users that needs to integrate multi-vendor terminals and computers into SNA networks, it is an OS/2 program that runs on the PS/2 with communications tasks executing in Real Time Interface Co-processors. PNA 1.0 has SNA/SDLC concentration, ASCII terminal support through IBM 3278 emulation, X25 Qualified Logical Link Control under OS/2 Extended 1.2 and NetView support. The 1.1 version adds full X25 support and an OS/2 Application Programs Interface. Each will be a one-time $2,000 and toolkits are $1,500; the 1.0 release 1.0 will be available in June 1990 and a date for 1.1 will be given in April next year.
