IBM has opened new Innovation Center in Mexico, which will consists local start-ups, venture capitalists, developers and academics to build new skills that will drive innovation across industries, including banking, communications, healthcare, retail and government.

IBM will provide Mexican start-up companies no charge access to its software, researchers, and technical and business experts to help develop and launch new business ideas through its Global Entrepreneur initiative.

The new Innovation Center will provide local entrepreneurs, business partners and academics with access to training workshops, consulting services, technical infrastructure, and hands-on assistance to help bring new technologies to market.

The new centre in Mexico will join the company’s worldwide network of 39 Innovation Centers in 32 countries including other growth nations like Brazil, Vietnam, Philippines and South Africa, which have opened centres over the past two years.
