IBM’s launch of a book of 12 cloud computing offerings to businesses as part of an even bigger plan for 20 such solutions.

The company said it will launch at least 20 cloud solutions by the end of this year.

Consulting services, pre-built assets from IBM Research, software, analytics and cloud infrastructure delivered via Softlayer are included. They are being sold on an up front set up and usage fee basis.

Kelly Chambliss, IBM Global Business Services CTO, said: "We’re providing access to the best IBM has to offer — from cloud to data analytics – as a simple, accessible and customizable service."

The portfolio is heavy on the analytics – a major IBM play. Care Coordination integrates management, analytics and patient engagement for the health market. Customer Data brings disparate, internal and external data sources together to equip clients with comprehensive analytics. Mobile initiatives within the portfolio are targeted towards banking, retail, healthcare, insurance and travel and transportation industries. Predictive Maintenance and Smarter Asset Management are a few other services being offered.
