IBM introduces new business-integration software applications

IBM’s WebSphere application server serves as the cornerstone for the new applications

IBM has introduced a series of new business-integration software applications to help enterprises leverage the collaborative capabilities of social media, mobile and cloud computing into their enterprise apps.

The company said its WebSphere Application Server will be the cornerstone to adopt these new applications.

WebSphere Application Server will provide clients with lexibility for embedded deployments and make it cloud ready with built in virtualisation.

The new integration software applications include IBM Business Process Manager, Operational Decision Management and WebSphere Cast Iron Live Web Application Programming Interface (API) Services.

IBM Business Process Manager combines new capabilities of social collaboration, governance and mobile to improve the way enterprises work, allowing organisations to gain visibility in the ways they change, manage measure and improve the processes that run their business.

The Operational Decision Management acclerates and simplifies the way that enterprises manage the business rules that control decisions across business processes and applications.

The new "social media" style user interface provides an environment for collaboration and simplifies searching, viewing and making rule changes.

WebSphere Cast Iron Live Web API Services will allow enterprises to extend their services to support the community of developers building new social, mobile and cloud applications and it also provides an application to deliver, socialise and manage business API assets.
