IBCS Inc has started negotiations with several corporations in Russia to deliver video conferencing services to their offices, betting that demand for this type of service is constantly increasing. For some companies it is still convenient to use our public studio in Moscow, but for most companies it is becoming more cost effective to install video conferencing facilities in their offices, said Robert Parsloe, president of the interactive video division at IBCS. By the end of this year, the compay aims to have 50 to 75 customers, mostly multinational companies in Moscow and St Petersburg. The market is growing very rapidly and eventually we expect thousands of customers in all of Russia, Parsloe said, adding that a major application is in training. For the average user, video conferencing equipment involves a start up cost of $70,000 and sessions costing about $550 per hour.
