Dayton, Ohio-based Intelligent Algorithms Enterprises Ltd is offering a suite of applications for monitoring, filtering and organizing those mountains of data now streaming in from net-and web-based sources, which cost from $250. In addition to filtering data at the desktop the 1996 startup’s InfoGist suite enables users to create agents which can search local, LAN or internet- based resources including incoming data feeds, webcasts and push channels, for data which is processed by a proprietary content analysis engine. The company claims the engine can process ASCII, HTML and major file formats and runs on Windows 95 or NT. The company is burning private investment and a business grant and is looking for strategic partners. It expects to have links to 100 other search engines for meta-searching within a month.
