Information Advantage Inc has extended the functionality of its OLAP tools suite with the integration of its Data Workbench tools component of its Decision Suite product with Logic Works Inc’s Erwin data modeler. Erwin 3.5 due this month includes templates for Decision Suite. In addition to automatically updating Decision Suite metadata, the Data Workbench can now manage metadata from a graphical interface while a new cut of the Application Workbench provides finer grain control of user profiling and new performance monitoring. A new 5.7 version of Decision Suite with the enhanced toolsets costs from $40,000 for 20 users. Data Workbench and Application Workbench are $16,000 each.
