I P SHARP ASSOCIATES’ APL PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE TO RUN UNDER UNIX

By CBR Staff Writer

I P Sharp Associates, the Toronto-based computer services house now owned by Reuters Holdings Plc, has ported its APL programming language to run under Unix, saying that this is a move to increase its share of the Unix market: the company has been selling some of its software on the AT&T 3B series and Sun workstations for around six months (CI No 810); the Unix implementation of APL is being sold as Sharp APL/UX.
