i3 Software and Datatrend Technologies have announced a strategic partnership to provide integrated Infrastructure Management Appliance Solutions built on IBM’s BladeCenter platform and the Tivoli Automation software suite, including Netcool.

Under the partnership, the companies combine appliance building services of Datatrend Technologies with i3 Software’s integration services to deliver an integrated, real-time IT Infrastructure Management appliance system that is expected to help customers gain better visibility into IT environments and enable efficient operational control.

The companies said that the new appliances, designed to provide customers with an all-in-one IT infrastructure management system, can be extended to address specific industry needs or technology domains.

The new Infrastructure Management Appliance will provide customers with the required insights to fix problems before they impact their business. By using centralised information to gain the necessary insight, the new appliance enables customers to reduce costs, eliminate errors, and improve operations through automation, the company claims.

Charles LeRoy, worldwide director of business development for i3 Software, said: By partnering with Datatrend, we’re able to leverage our deep experience in IBM Tivoli Netcool and other Tivoli Automation Software solutions along with developing customised applications with Datatrend’s track record in designing and integrating server appliances on the latest IBM systems to deliver a comprehensive, modular, and agile solution that will always be able to meet the demands of the business.
