Supply Chain Management software specialist i2 Technologies Inc has announced a number of new extensions to its Rhythm product line (CI No 3,262). The Irving, Texas based company says its new high availability demand fulfillment server eliminates downtime by mirroring the server engine architecture, with plans automatically updated to the backup engine for each planning cycle. It has also added support for 64-bit memory addressing to the Rhythm command center, designed to provide a graphical model of an organization, allowing users to monitor operation flows, link plans and execution. Other new features include a profit optimization add-on targeted at asset-intensive industries and a more general sales and operation planning module to help integrate the activities of the company’s other products like the demand planner and its supply chain planner.
