HYUNDAI ELECTRONICS DECENTRALIZES CONTROL BACK TO US

Hyundai Electronics Industries Co Ltd feels confident enough about its Ultra-Sparc Axil Computer Inc unit to re-instate US executive control, promoting vice-president marketing William Shellooe to president and chief executive replacing I B Johnson who returns to Korea to become senior vice-president and general manager of Hyundai’s memory business group. Shellooe, former MasPar Computer Corp vice-president and one-time Pyramid Technology Corp president, joined Axil in January 1994 (CI No 2,336).
