The agreement will see Focus’ SORTT technology, which aims to speed order routing while monitoring sources of liquidity to provide the best possible execution price, combine with HyperFeed’s HTPX in the hope of enabling HyperFeed to provide customers with application-independent utilities that power front- and back-office trade decision systems for instant-execution decisions.

According to Focus, the SORTT platform comes with best-execution algorithms and allows the user to choose additional parameters to fit their execution requirements. It is also expected to support either customer-derived DLL’s or HyperFeed’s patented DLL generator.

By leveraging the strengths of HTPX, our fully managed ticker plant, our customers will find that they can improve trade execution while keeping pace with regulatory mandates like Reg. NMS, commented Paul Pluschkell, CEO of HyperFeed. By combining direct exchange data with smart order routing, customers achieve price improvement over routed solutions utilizing disparate systems and pre-determined execution destinations.
