Fujitsu said that the refrigeration specialist Huurre Group has extended its Patja managed service agreement with Fujitsu Services, incorporating a range of IT infrastructure, mobile and data communications services and server capacity as a service.
The IT collaboration between Fujitsu and Huurre was first started in the autumn of 2002 and Huurre adopted the Patja managed services in 2005.
Jorma Mursu Group IT manager of Huurre, said: We are happy with the Patja service. It is a clear-cut concept that scales both up and down depending on the fluctuations of the business. Pursuing with Patja was the most cost efficient alternative for us, too.
“There’s been some challenges along the way, too, but for the most part our objectives have been met and our collaboration has been successful. With the burden of IT infrastructure off from our shoulders, we have been able to focus on developing our in-house ERP, financial and analysis applications. What’s more, the regional availability of the IT services has improved, which is beneficial for us, having operations across Finland.”
Earlier in January, construction material manufacturer Maxit has signed a Patja service agreement with Fujitsu Services. In addition to Maxit, also SG Rakennustuotteet and LVI Dahl are expected to enter the Patja service in February-March, and SG Pipe Systems and SG Glass Finland will join them as per the beginning of April.
