Web video streaming service Hulu’s International operations head Johannes Larcher has stepped down ahead of potential sale.

Larcher led Hulu’s 2011 expansion into Japan, while he has not yet started service in any other countries outside the US following the resignation, Bloomberg reported.

The company’s senior vice president of content Andy Forssell is currently the acting CEO following Kilar’s exit.

Hulu has been losing several senior executives as its owners, including Walt Disney and News Corp, are reportedly moving ahead with an auction.

During late March 2013, the online video service chief executive officer and co-founder Jason Kilar and its chief technology officer Rich Tom had left the company.

Recently, Hulu received bids from about seven suitors including private equity firm KKR, Ex-News Corp president Peter Chernin and Yahoo.

Hulu attracted bids near to $2bn when it was on auction in 2012 after the sale of Providence Equity Partners’ 10% stake for $200m.
In addition, the online retailer Amazon has also been reported to be interested in acquiring Hulu.
