HUGIN SWEDA PICKS ORACLE FOR RETAIL APPLICATIONS

The Uxbridge, Middlesex-based Hugin Sweda arm of British point of-sale systems specialist Hugin Group Plc has teamed up with Oracle Corp to offer the Oracle relational database around the world as the back-office host for the Sweda point-of-sale systems, enabling the latter to offer a much more complete system to retailers. $200m-a-year Hugin looks for profits this year and float in London in 1991 (CI No 1,085).
