Chinese telecoms equipment maker Huawei has reported a 30% increase in its revenue to CNY175.9bn ($28.3bn) for the first half of 2015.

The company posted an operating margin of 18% in the first six months of 2015, compared to 18.3% in the year-ago period.

Huawei chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou said: "In the first half of 2015, Huawei achieved stable and healthy growth in all of its three business segments.

"With Huawei’s well-balanced, worldwide presence, we are confident that we will maintain effective growth and steady and healthy development in all business segments in 2015."

The company said its growth in the enterprise business started to pick up in H1 due to the increase in application of its cloud computing, storage, agile network, and other products as well as solutions in the smart city, finance, education, and ISP markets in and outside of China.

The growth in company’s consumer business was driven by its mid-range and high-end smartphones, Mate7 and P8, as well as Honor-branded phones.

Huawei maintained steady growth in its carrier business due to the continued investment into 4G network construction in China and the development of next-generation network technologies like software-defined and cloud computing.

The company is increasing its portfolio of business-computing products, cloud services and mobile devices. Last year, Huawei set a goal achieving $70bn in sales by 2018.
