Telecom operator Huawei unveiled a LTE TDD /FDD /UMTS/ GSM multi-mode mobile Wi-Fi device, the E589, supposed to be the first of its kind at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012.

It can allow up to 10 WiFi enabled devices to simultaneously have mobile internet access through the LTE TDD network, letting several users to share the connection and enjoy LTE TDD data services at the same time, the Chinese company said.

The pocket sized device features a mirror design and high definition TFT (Thin Film Transistor) big screen.

Its large capacity battery supports 6 hours of continuous use and lets people connect to the wireless broadband network anywhere, anytime.

After launching the world’s first LTE TDD wireless broadband router B593, the industry’s first LTE TDD USB dongle E398 and the multi-mode E392, the E589 is another milestone for it, says Huawei.
