Telecommunications network provider Huawei Device Indonesia, has launched a new modem E173.
The new modem is designed to give Internet users a higher browsing speed, and complement old products of Huawei Device, such as the IDEOS S7 Tablet, IDEOS Android phones and wireless modem E5830, said the company.
The modem supports 3G/HSDPA and HSUPA and has a speed of 7.2 Mbps. E173 is equipped with standard USB interface (Type A) and Plug and Play (PnP), and works automatically when connected to a computer device.
Huawei Device Indonesia marketing director Riadi Sugihtani said E173 modem is the latest product in their product development strategy — Smart Device, Simple World.
"The launch of these products demonstrates our commitment to always provide the tools to suit the needs of consumers. We are confident that with the Huawei E173 we can serve the needs of the Indonesian people to browse the Internet more quickly," Sugihtani said.
The Huawei Device Indonesia has collaborated with Telkomsel and Opera Software to provide optimal service to Internet users in Indonesia.
Telkomsel maximises high-speed Internet access through support of Node B 8500 (3G base stations) across Indonesia and offers international Internet gateway bandwidth capacity of 15Gbps.
