Huawei plans to launch a range of new wearable technologies this year, including an Android smartwatch.
The Chinese electronics manufacturer confirmed at a media briefing in China that it would release a new range of fitness technologies, including a flagship smartband, to complement its existing wearable, the Talkband B1.
The company also revealed that its smartwatch would run on Google’s Android Wear technology.
It is expected that the new releases will appear at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress in March. Huawei plans to launch several new devices this year, including tablets.
The Shenzhen-based electronics company’s strategy of focusing on innovation has seen the company growing robustly throughout recent years.
