The move follows a request by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority to introduce two-factor authentication in the country’s banks. Vasco said its portable Digipass GO3 tokens use a two-factor authentication device that provides users with a one-time password which cannot be re-used by hackers
HSBC is offering the device to all its retail internet customers, with the intention of rolling it out to all its online@hsbc customers in Asia.
