Blockbuster members who come to H&R Block for tax preparation or open a brokerage account with H&R Block Financial Advisors may be eligible to get a free Blockbuster GiftCard good toward movie and game rentals, snacks and more at participating Blockbuster stores.
Our promotion with Blockbuster is an easy way for us to attract and reward our clients, said David Byers, H&R Block’s chief marketing officer. The Blockbuster alliance is just one of many new marketing programs we have for 2001 to help make the yearly tax preparation ritual a little more fun for our 19 million clients.
In January, a select group of consumers will receive a coupon via a direct mail campaign that can be redeemed, along with an H&R Block receipt, for a Blockbuster GiftCard. H&R Block brokerage clients who open a new account with a minimum investment of $2,000 will receive a $50 Blockbuster GiftCard. Tax preparation clients will receive a $15 Blockbuster GiftCard.
Earlier this month, H&R Block announced that its tax office clients can qualify for up to a $300 cash rebate, to use anywhere they want, by signing up for MSN Internet Access. In addition, Sprint is offering certain H&R Block clients $50 off their tax preparation fees if they sign up for Sprint Nickel Nights or Sprint Fundamental Service.
