HP WINS “E-BUSINESS” ORDERS

By CBR Staff Writer

Hewlett-Packard Co has won two big orders for its new e- business products, including the Changengine business process and workflow engine. Japan’s Sumitomo Life Insurance Company has begun a multi-year project to automate the business processes of its sales force, including policy enrolment and maintenance and claims processing, in the run up to the deregulation of the market in 2002. And Bank Sarsin & Cie, the Swiss investment bank, will use Changengine as the basis for a set of banking applications aimed at expanding services to its customers, the first of which are due out in mid-1998.
