Hewlett-Packard Co continued its reorganization yesterday by appointing four top executives as chief executive officers of their own newly formed divisions. Ann Livermore becomes president and CEO of HPÆs Enterprise Computing Solutions division, and Duane Zitzner heads the Computer Products division with the same titles, Antonio Perez in Inkjet Imaging Solutions and Carolyn Ticknor in LaserJet Imaging Systems also take up the president and CEO title.
Livermore was previously head of HP’s software and services division. Enterprise Computing Solutions will combine HP’s current hardware and software sales divisions, and account for around $15bn in annual revenues. HP chairman Lewis Platt said the changes would give the division heads “full authority to adapt their business models to their own competitive landscapes.” They will have the power to make business acquisitions and alliances, and to set R&D spending levels.
Last month, HP said it would split itself into two, with test and measurement operations separated out from the computer businesses. A CEO for the overall computing and imaging unit of HP, accounting for nearly $40bn of HP’s total $47bn revenues, is still being sought.
