HP ADDS CISCO IOS TO REMOTE PRODUCTS

Hewlett-Packard Co has announced new remote-connectivity products for remote and central offices that use Cisco IOS software. The HP AdvanceStack Internet Router will ship with Cisco IOS and integrate into HPAdvanceStack hubs and switches or works with the new HPAdvanceStack Remote 2C. The AdvanceStack Remote 2C is an expansion-slot cabinet designed for use with the AdvanceStack Internet Router in any network environment. The AdvanceStack Internet Router has five connectors, including two high-speed synchronous WANports (with DB60 connectors), one ISDN BRI, one auxiliary port and one console (as shielded RJ45). The HPAdvanceStack Internet Router with Cisco IOS software costs $3,200. The HPAdvanceStack Remote 2C and AdvanceStack Internet Router bundle is $3,599. All the products begin shipping May 1.
