HP3000s “STILL ON SCHEDULE”

Responding to an analyst’s report that sent its shares reeling Wednesday by indicating that it would delay volume shipments of the Spectrum HP3000s until 1989, Hewlett-Packard Co yesterday declared firmly that first shipments of its HP 3000 Series 930 and 950 business computers remain on schedule for August and fourth quarter delivery, respectively, and confirmed earlier statements that volume shipments would begin early in 1988 for both.
