HP wins application services contract from State of Florida

To develop and implement centralised child care management system

By CBR Staff Writer

HP Enterprise Services has received a $20m application services contract from State of Florida’s Agency for Workforce Innovation to develop, design, implement and maintain the Early Learning Information System (ELIS).

As per the contract, HP will develop and implement a centralised child care management system, which provides improved attendance tracking, provider payment processing, case management, eligibility determination and reporting.

The new system will also enable data sharing capabilities between educators, parents, providers and state agencies, assist in identification of fraud and overpayments, and serve as the single point of entry for eligibility data.

In addition, HP will implement online self-service customer portals to improve customer service and ELIS accessibility for parents and providers to gain access to child development resources, early education information and referral information.

HP Enterprise Services SVP of US public sector Dennis Stolkey said that the company will assist Florida with development of ELIS to enable the state to gain operational efficiencies while providing quality, inclusive early learning opportunities for children.
