HP unveils new suite of software

HP has unveiled a new suite of software to operationalise, measure and improve IT performance across the industry’s set of technology investments and asset classes.

The new IT Performance Suite includes the new IT Executive Scorecard that helps IT perform better by providing CIOs insight into an array of offerings to manage and optimise app development, infrastructure and operations management, security, information management, and financial planning and administration.

The IT Executive Scorecard is designed on the open IT Data Model that provides visibility into performance indicators at cascading levels of IT leadership. In addition, its built-in capabilities integrate data from multiple sources, including third-party products, to deliver a single view of IT metrics, HP said.

The IT Performance Suite uses HP’s life-cycle approach to software development and management, and integrates the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

The company said that the CIO Edition Standard is the IT Performance Suite’s first persona-oriented offering that includes the Executive Scorecard along with Financial Planning and Analysis, Project and Portfolio Management, and Asset Manager modules.

The CIO edition automatically integrates data from the modules to provide approximately 20 best-practice KPIs covering financial and project health, enabling the optimisation of IT performance from a business investment point of view.
