HP has unveiled its Chromebook 13, designed with Google and powered by the 6th generation Intel Core m processor.

The new all-metal design laptop, which targeted at home and office users, is only 12.9-millimeters thick and has a 13.3-inch display that shows images at a 3200 x 1800 pixel resolution.

It weighs 1.29 kilograms and delivers up to 11.5 hours of battery life. The laptop offers a simple, secure, and easily managed cloud-based experience.

Built on Chrome OS, the Chromebook 13 provides a rapid boot time, simple navigation and syncing, multi-layered security. It also offers the ability to share and access data from any location.

HP claims that the device can easily switch from mobility to desk productivity, with up to 16 GB of memory for fast performance when running apps and browser sessions at a time.

The laptop’s Lucid Sleep feature silently updates documents, emails, and notifications while the HP Chromebook is in sleep mode. Data and messages are already updated whenever users are ready to restart work.

The Chromebook 13 features multi-layered security, including automatic updates, sandboxing, verified boot, data encryption and recovery.
