HP releases Windows 8 PC portfolio

The new range consists of hybrid PCs, business oriented performance PCs and all-in-one desktops

HP has released new lineup of consumer and business PCs, which range from notebooks and desktops to a tablet designed to work with Windows 8.

The company said that consumer notebook portfolio includes a hybrid PC and notebooks with slim designs and multitouch display technology.

Consumer notebook PCs lineup includes Envy x2, SpectreXT TouchSmart Ultrabook, ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook 4, Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Pavilion Sleekbook 15, ENVY m4 notebook and Pavilion dm1.

The HP ENVY x2 includes a 11.6-inch diagonal high-definition (HD) touch display, Beats Audio, an HD webcam plus an 8-megapixel camera, and near field communication (NFC) technology.

SpectreXT TouchSmart Ultrabook features a 15.6-inch diagonal multitouch Radiance Full HD IPS display.

ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 features a 14-inch multitouch HD display, a subwoofer with beats audio and optional AMD graphics with 2 GB of graphics memory.

HP’s all-in-one desktops include the Envy 23 and Envy 20 TouchSmart, SpectreOne, Pavilion 20 AiO and Envy Phoenix h9 desktop P.

Business computers include the HP ElitePad 900 tablet, which debuts in January 2013, and the HP EliteBook Folio 9470m Ultrabook.

HP senior vice president and general manager of personal computer global business unit James Mouton said that the company’s portfolio of ultrathin notebooks, all-in-ones and high-performance business PCs is designed to meet the needs of customers anticipating the release of the Windows 8 OS.

"Consumers and organizations now can choose from a broad range of HP PCs featuring multitouch displays, versatile form factors, sleek designs or customizable solutions that address their needs," Mouton said.
