HP has expanded its Compaq 6000 Pro family with the launch of a new all-in-one (AIO) PC, which features a 21.5-inch diagonal full HD LED backlit BrightView LCD screen with dual display capability and Windows 7 Professional 32- or 64-bit operating system and comes with a choice of Intel Core 2 Duo processors.

The company claims that the new Compaq 6000 Pro All-in-One Business PC offers high-definition (HD) visuals and energy-saving features and comes in one-cord design to ensure setup and serviceability and remove cable clutter.

According to HP, the new all-in-one PC features up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, hard drives up to 1 terabyte, and an optional 80GB solid-state drive (SSD). It also comes with 16x Max SuperMulti optical drive and slim-tray DVD burner with LightScribe, six-in-one memory card reader, optional MXM graphics and TV tuner, and PS/2 ports.

In addition, the new PC also features HD webcam, dual-array microphone, stereo speakers, and internal instusion monitoring sensors and optional HP security locks and cables that help protect PCs from theft. The PC also offers videoconferencing for face-to-face communication, maximised through bluetooth wireless offerings.

The PC also comes standard with a full version of the HP SkyRoom videoconferencing collaboration tool and is Microsoft Office Communicator certified. A trial version of HP Virtual Rooms also is available for interactive and face-to-face video chat.

The HP Compaq 6000 Pro All-in-One Business PC is expected to be available in the US on July 16, 2010, at a starting price of $899.
