HP appoints Todd Bradley as new strategic growth head

The move is aimed at extending global channel partnerships and increasing HP’s business in the chief Chinese market.

By CBR Staff Writer

HP has named Todd Bradley, head of the company’s executive VP, Printing and Personal Systems (PPS), as its executive VP of Strategic Growth Initiatives.

The change in leadership is seen as an attempt by HP to reorganise its struggling personal-computer business amidst global PC market slump and to establish its dominance in PC market, which is being challenged by Lenovo.

In the new role, Bradley will directly work with HP’s president and CEO, Meg Whitman, on improving the business in China and widening the company’s global critical channel partner relationships.

Bradley will also be assigned to work with Whitman on detecting potential collaboration opportunities with early-stage firms that can add to the PC maker’s long-term growth.

Whitman said that the move is focused at its channel partners and the future of business in China.

"I’ve asked Todd to use his expertise to focus on these areas," Whitman said

"I’ve also asked him to study the landscape of small companies and startups that could partner with HP to spur growth."

HP has also named Nick Lazaridis as an acting lead of HP PPS APJ until a permanent replacement is named.
